Terms and Conditions

Definitions: In these terms of trade references to the company mean “Lothian Hardwood Flooring” and references to the “Customer” mean the person, the firm, or the company by whom the order is given. References to “The Goods” means the subject matter of the order or any part or variation thereof.

Prices: Unless otherwise agreed by the company in writing, prices quoted in any contract, order, price list or otherwise are subject to increase without notice in the event of there being, prior to delivery of the goods any rise in market price of the goods or any increase to the cost of the company of, or caused by, materials, fuel, labour, transport, government or other duties of taxes.

All prices listed are subject to Tax charges 17.5% VAT (current rate) unless otherwise indicated.

Orders: An order shall not be accepted as a contract until the company send by e-mail a contract acknowledgement document, a receipt will be sent by mail.

Credit Card Security: We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using the company shopping system, your security is vital to the company. Customer details are not passed to third parties and are used only in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Advertising: All descriptions and sales literature, other advertising matter and price lists are intended merely to represent a general idea of the goods described therein and none of these shall form part of the contract.

Returns Policy: Goods will be accepted back into stock only if they have unopened packaging and are received by the company in a re-sellable condition. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to return the product and pay all costs associated with the return to the company. A 25% re-stocking levy will be charged. On payment of the re-stocking charge a credit for the remainder will be issued.

Claims: Any claims of shortages or claims of damaged goods which are not either marked on the delivery note or notified in writing within three days of receipt of goods shall not be accepted by the company. Settlement of any such claim shall be strictly limited to the value of the goods.

Delivery: All orders (Kahrs/Tarkett) with a value greater than £350 (goods value) are delivered free of charge, some remote areas within the U.K may incur a small carriage charge, the customer will be advised of any additional carriage charges at the time of order.

All Caledonian Hardwoods (Solids) will have a delivery charge, this will be confirmed at point of order.

Delivery times to the customer will be confirmed at the time of order placement.

Unsuccessful attempts at delivery when the company has given a delivery date, and when the company has been surcharged by the haulage contractor, will be invoiced and charged at cost to the customer.
